Synergy Building Design Limited has over two decades of experience working with developers, architects, private clients and contractors; delivering cost effective and buildable solutions. Synergy has an understanding of all aspects of building across all sectors of the construction industry.  We listen to clients’ needs and work with them to develop a design brief.  We pride ourselves on seeking out exactly what a client needs, even if they don’t know themselves, so that our design process can work for the client and their team.

We try to think beyond the obvious, we do not settle for a compromised solution. We will develop the structural solution to suit the overall design – if a beam or column can be hidden, we will try to find a way of achieving this. We coordinate our work with the design team to ensure the final product is practical, stable and aesthetically pleasing. Where required, we collaborate with a range of technical partners who complement our services to ensure you receive the best solution.

Situated at the heart of the UK’s motorway network, Synergy Building Design Limited is ideally located to provide structural services across the UK. As we are situated in Tamworth, Staffordshire, we have, and are ideally situated to cover projects in The Midlands, however we have undertaken work to date in Essex, Gloucestershire, Yorkshire, Devon, Wales and even further afield in Denmark without locality issues for our clients. We aim to provide efficient and cost effective structural design advice.

Richard Hawthorn, Managing Director

Richard is a Structural Design Engineer with over two decades of experience in designing and detailing a wide variety of buildings and structures, across the UK. Throughout Richard’s career, he has worked for a number of consultancies on a wide variety of projects across many different disciplines, including:

• Housing and residential
• Public and social housing
• Commercial property
• Industrial warehousing and distribution
• Healthcare and hospitals
• Public and leisure buildings
• Hotels
• Schools
• Refurbishment of aged and historic buildings
